Start with the why
Understand what this course will help you explain.
Imagine walking into a chiropractic office for the first time. You see appointments, paperwork, conversations, and adjustments. Those activities are easy to notice. The thinking behind them takes longer to understand. OnPurpose gives you a place to begin, whether you work in an office, received this course as a gift, or are learning for yourself.
The Green Books are a collection of historical chiropractic writings. They include philosophical arguments, classroom explanations, clinical accounts, and personal reflections. They were written by several authors, so they are not one book with one voice. You will meet important ideas from the collection without needing to read every volume or memorize technical language.
We will separate three things as we learn: what an author wrote, what that idea means in ordinary language, and how it might connect to a conversation today. The examples in this course are our teaching examples. They are not quotations from the Green Books. A historical explanation also does not automatically establish a modern clinical claim.
Your goal is understanding. You should be able to explain a few central ideas in your own words, ask thoughtful questions, and recognize when the doctor needs to answer a question about individual care. Plan for one lesson each workday over three weeks, or choose a faster pace that fits your schedule. Listen or read, answer the checks, and take one question into a conversation with your chiropractor.
